Off duty… — Sue Vincent’s Daily Echo

After driving for four hours on the road north, there is a brief glimpse of a hillside on the horizon which, at this time of year, is the one thing I am waiting to see. If the light is right and the weather kind… and if the heather is in bloom, the shadowy hilltop wears […]

The Catholic life is one of prayer.

Pray Catholic

Whoever prays is certainly saved. He who does not is certainly damned. All the blessed have been saved by prayer. All the damned have been lost through not praying. If they had prayed they would not have been lost.

And this is, and will be their greatest torment in hell: to think how easily they might have been saved, just by asking God for His grace, but that now it is too late…their time of prayer is gone.

St. Alphonsus Liguori

This collection of Catholic Prayers is  a work in progress. My hope is that as this catalog grows that it will be a convenient source of help to you in your Catholic life of prayer.

Blessings and Peace

Just before giving some recommendations, let’s see some basic aspects.

What is a Buddhist Temple?

the unpathed waters

“Buddha was born in Nepal.”
Well, so fucking what?

It’s our education that has made us this foolish, isn’t it? Of course it is! It always is!

We were taught in elementary school how brilliant our country is and boy were we proud! I’m not saying that it isn’t! I love Nepal and there’s nothing better than home. But somewhere, I think we got over attached with our history. It’s one thing to be proud of the history and another thing to be a representative of something you aren’t really a part of; in the illusion if it being the greatest glory ever.

We say we believe in peace. We say we are a peaceful country- the motherland of the messenger of peace. We say we practice religious tolerance and that we are an example of unity in diversity.

We resort to violence the first chance we get. We…
